Noor Academy is committed to handling Zakat funds with the highest level of integrity and compliance with Islamic principles.
Eligibility Criteria
Zakat funds are distributed to students who meet the following criteria:
- Demonstrated financial need verified through our application process
- Active enrollment or intent to enroll in Noor Academy courses
- Fall under one of the eight categories of Zakat recipients as defined in Islamic law
How Zakat Is Used
- Full or partial tuition scholarships for eligible students
- Learning materials and resources for students in need
- Technology access (devices, internet) for students who cannot afford them
Shariah Compliance
All Zakat distributions are overseen by our Shariah Advisory Board, which includes qualified scholars who ensure that funds are distributed in accordance with Islamic jurisprudence.
Transparency
- Quarterly distribution reports are published on our platform
- Donors receive annual statements showing how their Zakat was distributed
- Zakat funds are kept in a separate account from operational funds
- Independent audits are conducted annually
How to Apply for Zakat Assistance
Students in need can apply for Zakat-funded scholarships through our student portal. Applications are reviewed monthly by our scholarship committee.
